Horry County, South Carolina
The Rolling Recovery Food Truck Project is being organized by a former Horry County Drug Court client with a simple but powerful goal: to help fellow Drug Court participants & alumni build stable, sober lives through meaningful employment.
For many individuals in the Drug Court program, maintaining full-time employment is a required—and often challenging—part of their recovery journey. Rolling Recovery provides an opportunity to meet that requirement while gaining job skills, structure, and a sense of purpose in a supportive, real-world environment.
Participants in Drug Court have chosen accountability and recovery over incarceration. They are actively working to rebuild their lives, and Rolling Recovery believes their efforts deserve community support. These individuals are not statistics—they are our brothers and sisters, parents, friends, and neighbors. They have value, potential, and a great deal to offer Horry County.
At Rolling Recovery, we believe that recovery is not a journey anyone should walk alone. In one way or another, we are all on the road to recovery.
We invite you to join us as a donor or sponsor and help strengthen our community—one meal, one job, and one life at a time.
Rolling Recovery Food Trucks will be staffed primarily by Drug Court Level II and Level III participants, along with approved volunteers who meet Rolling Recovery’s basic program requirements.
Rolling Recovery does not operate as a for-profit food service and does not sell food. All Rolling Recovery mobile kitchens will provide free meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in Horry County, South Carolina.
Rolling Recovery Food Trucks will follow a regularly scheduled service route so that people in need can reliably count on access to food and nutrition. We will work closely with other local organizations providing similar services to ensure routes and schedules complement—rather than compete with—existing efforts.
The Rolling Recovery Program is made possible through the support of local businesses, organizations, and community members who participate through sponsorships and donations.
Sponsorships are offered on an annual or semiannual term.
